Hapi People Spotlight: Wayne Borce
This month, we’re excited to spotlight Wayne Borce, who brings an Ever Improving mindset to his work at Hapi.
After spending two and a half years as an Implementation Consultant at Oracle, Wayne joined Hapi looking for an opportunity to continue growing while bringing his experience in customer needs, solution implementation, and cross-team collaboration to a new environment.
One year and three months later, he says Hapi has given him something just as valuable as professional growth: the flexibility to make time for the people and experiences that matter outside of work.
A New Chapter at Hapi
Can you tell us about your background and how you came to work for Hapi?
Before joining Hapi, I worked as an Implementation Consultant at Oracle for about two and a half years. That experience helped me build a strong foundation in understanding customer needs, implementing solutions, and collaborating across teams.
When the opportunity with Hapi came along, I saw it as a chance to bring that experience into a new environment while continuing to grow professionally.
Honestly, Hapi has been the best company I’ve worked for. I’m learning so much in my new role, while still being able to make room for life outside of work.
Living the Value: Ever Improving
How do you incorporate "Ever Improving" into your daily work?
In my daily work, I'm always looking for ways to improve how I do things — whether that means simplifying a process, finding a more effective solution, or learning from feedback and past experience.
I believe even small, consistent improvements can add up to something meaningful over time.
For me, being "Ever Improving" means staying curious, staying open to new ideas, and never assuming that the current way of doing things is the only way. Change is constant, and honestly, that's a good thing — it's how we keep getting better, personally and professionally.
Sharing Knowledge, Growing Together
What has been one of your most memorable experiences or achievements at Hapi?
It's hard to pin down a single moment. But anytime I'm able to share a new process, solution, or useful learning with the team, I consider that an achievement.
I believe knowledge becomes more valuable when it's shared. It lets everyone learn from one another and grow together.
Being able to contribute something that makes someone else's work easier or more effective is always rewarding for me.
A Journey to Remember
Tell us about your favorite travel experience.
This September I'm taking my first-ever international flight – to Hong Kong!
But my favorite trip so far was Siquijor, where I proposed to my fiancée. Beyond the island's natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, that moment made the trip incredibly meaningful and unforgettable.
Siquijor will always hold a special place in my heart. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. We're getting married this November with around 200 guests!
What’s Your Secret Talent or Favorite Hobby?
I love going to the gym and taking long walks. After working remotely for four years, it’s become a bit of a necessity as well as a hobby.
I enjoy walking with my dogs and staying active. Not exactly a secret talent, but I do love to sing, especially karaoke with my fiancée.
What Makes You Hapi?
Being able to spend meaningful time with family and friends is what makes me happy, and Hapi plays a big role in helping me get there.
It gives me the opportunity to grow professionally while still making time for the people who matter most to me. That balance means everything to me.

Final Thoughts
For Wayne, being Ever Improving isn’t about making huge changes overnight. It’s about staying curious, learning from experience, sharing knowledge, and looking for small ways to make things better every day.
His story is also a reminder that professional growth and personal happiness can go hand in hand. At Hapi, a global, remote-first company built around flexibility, people have the space to grow in their careers while still making room for the people and experiences that matter outside of work.
