The Challenge

HotelKey is a cloud-based hospitality platform designed to simplify hotel operations and improve the guest experience. As HotelKey gained traction with larger hotel groups and new markets, there was a growing need to connect its PMS with a broader ecosystem, especially for properties joining new brand portfolios or migrating from legacy PMS systems.

The initial push for integration came from the need to support a digital voucher program tied to on-property member benefits. 

The Solution

HotelKey now enables the secure, real-time exchange of guest and transaction data via Hapi Data Streams. This integration supports a variety of mobile-enabled features, including digital check-out and food & beverage benefits, allowing hotel brands to deliver a more seamless and connected guest experience. The collaboration has helped reduce operational complexity and allowed HotelKey’s clients across Asia, Europe, and the Americas to retain existing guest programs, even when switching to a new PMS.

Because both platforms are built on AWS infrastructure, hotel companies also benefit from more efficient deployment and easier scalability, helping them move faster and with less technical overhead.
